Small Projects
After completing this table topper project; I have decided that I want to really start focusing on improving my applique technique. It is one part of quilting that I really enjoy, but have a tendency to wave away from because I am not quite sure of the methods and my details need improvement. "WAKE UP" I said to myself, you can not improve something or use it without trial and error. I have read a lot of information on appliqueing and so many ways to go about it. I do not enjoy the turned under seam allowance process. For me it changes the shape and does not look as appealing. I read recently that Wonder Under can be used without the turn under seam allowance and can be appliqued directly onto the fabric. I splurged and bought 2 yards of the Wonder Under and am going to attempt my dragon and other applique shapes over the next.....amount of time. I have a lot of scrap material and it will work wonderfully. I will show pictures as I progress, I have no plans on any specific quilt or small project at this time; but with me it will jump up and grab hold. Have a great day quilting!
