Boy Was I Wrong!

After posting yesterday, I sat down and started working on the door hanging. The machine kept messing up. I finally called my father, who came over and looked to see if he could figure it out. The more he tried different "solutions" the worse it got...soon it would not sew at all. So off to the shop to be fixed. Bummer.

At least I have the Singer! Last night I picked out the fabrics to use as the background for the Dresden Plate. Today, I cut it all into strips and am now sewing them together. My hope is to achieve a scrappy four patch effect.

Dodger and I took our two mile walk this morning and in a couple hours when it cools off a great deal more, we are going to walk to hubbys work (one way is another mile). The walking and watching what I eat has helped me to loose a couple pounds and tone up a tad. I am not sure if we will walk back home or just stick around and wait till Kevin closes and ride home.

Back to sewing strips together...Iam, I am. Have a great day!

  2. I hope the fix for your sewing machine is simple, and not too expensive!! I'm also eager to see your first dresden plate block. I love the colors you have chosen, and bet the block will be great!

    Blessings to you and yours.

  6. Great shot of Dodger! My mom used to own a Singer, she made my sisters and I matching dresses throughout our youth. :)
