This is going to be my first project attempt at freezer paper applique. I am now going to attempt to hand sew it....so far not to bad. I will post pictures when it is complete.
Baking seemed to be a great choice to go along with this project, since each step in the baking process took me through a step in the applique process.
I made from scratch, Lemon Merangue (spelling) Pie (without the crust) and gently scooped them into my neat serving dishes Kevins mother bought for us.
I then sprinkled the chicken with various herbs and places the chicken over Habenaro Peppers and baked until golden brown.
Anyone have great ideas on how to remove the brown baked on splotches from baking dishes? I have not found any solutions for this problem, so would love to hear your ideas!
On Rhondas (Ravelly1) blog the other day she mentioned cornbread. Sounded so yummy and had not fixed for quite awhile....so it was my final baking project.
Kevin loved every item, especially the chicken which he finished off today before going to work! The Lemon M. was my favorite, but the cornbread is almost gone also.
Have a great day!
Hi Brenda, all of this looks so yummy! And if you guys had the same weather we had today, it was the perfect day for baking! The chicken looks delicious! I make cornbread pretty often--so good!
ReplyDeleteFor getting baked-on brown stuff off of your ceramic or glass pans: dissolve Cascade or whatever you use in your dishwasher in super-hot water and let the pan soak in it overnight or at least a couple of hours. Use gloves; it's pretty hard on hands. Hope this helps!
Can I come over for dinner!?
ReplyDeleteyummy stuff you're having there!
I'm off to work on this month's postcards...want to make one for everyone in the group...I'm especially THANKFUL this month! (I haven't stopped smiling since Wednesday morning!)
And about those brown spots...I just leave them there...adds flavor to the next thing!

Brenda, I can almost smell the yummy aromas coming from your kitchen! I use Soft Scrub cleanser to remove the stubborn spots from the glass pans.
