BINDING

Chicca has made herself comfy cozy and is taking a nap on top of the quilting books she plopped down one by one until she was satisified.

I am sewing on this binding, a great way to practice invisible stitches and small stitches. I just love the backing fabric I used for this quilt.

Kevin is out putting in applications. Dodger is going outside every few minutes to check when he returns, but running inside to check on me. The life of a devoted dog.

We have the tree up and decorated and the living room decorated. But I must admit I am not really excited about Christmas this year. The true reason for celebrating is the birth of Jesus. I also know that the Lord has a meaning for the job change, but it would be easier if we knew exactly what it was. We will stand strong and patient while the change happens and pray for his guidance and directions. In the end the binding will hold us strong together.

  6. I know just how you feel - my DH was made redundant twice in the last 2 years - we'd just got back on our feet when it happened again. This was actually a blessing in disguise as he decided to go ahead and open his own business which alhough it is early days looks promising and he is happier than ever. Really pray things work out for you and hope you have a lovely Christmas in spite of this xx

  7. I have apparently been "away" from blogging for way too long. I was shocked as I read your recent blogs to try to "catch up"!! I'll be adding you to my prayers along with the rest of the bloggers. I love all the progress you have made in your applique. It's looking great. Take care, and I'll keep better in touch!!
