JUST SHARING

Debb @ http://pbdesigns.blogspot.com/ sent me this wonderfully embellished post card. The fall colors and leaves look brilliant with the buttons and other embellishments.

Carol@ http://www.whatshappeningwithcarol.blogspot.com/ seent me this awesome postcard using various cuts of fabrics. The border stitch she used adds such charm to this one.

They have both been added to my sewing room wall. All of my postcards add so much charm and personality to my room. They are all treasures!

Today I am baking minature loaves of banana bread. Kevin brought home 8 bananas that had not sold, my friend next door bought me a month or so ago 10 minature loaf pans. Since it is just the two of us normal bread pans yield way to much, these will work wonderfully. I will leave a couple out and freeze the rest. The house smells so delicious while baking.

For the past couple days, I have been hand appliqueing stars on a baby quilt back. There is nothing hard about it, just takes time and manuevering. The more hand work I do the better I like it. I applaud everyone who does hand work, it may not be hard but learning to take small invisible stitches is an art that takes a ton of practice. My invisible stitches are fairly close to actually being invisible, but getting them closer together and smaller is another matter. LOL.

Kevin and I had to run to Wal Mart last night for some screws and hanging screws for a project he is working on. While we were there, he reaches over gives me a hug and says I just want to buy you something.....What do you want?

It was quite cute and charming, especially since he waited until we were next to the sewing sections and supplies. LOL. I sure do love my man!

I chose a package of sewing needles (all sorts of sizes) and this square ruler. The inside is 4 and a half, the outside is 8 and a half. A blogger friend sent me a 6 and a half inch ruler that works great. The only other size I have seen is a 2 and a half; do they come in all sizes or just half sizes? I would really like to have one for each size square block. They work fabulously with squaring up and cutting out blocks.

After Frankie left on Monday evening, I retrieved Dodgers stuffed kitty from on top of the fridge. Dodger has had this kitty since she came to live with us almost two years ago. It really no longer looks like a kitty; no eyes, nose, whiskers and most of the tail is gone. LOL.

It has been stitched together a few times, Dodger really takes special care of her friend....but when Frankie and Dodger are together a tug of war event happens and therefore the damages. Now the kitty is put up out of sight and remains until Frankie goes home.

Dodger really missed her friend this time and since she has it back in possession, it is not far from her at all; especially rest times.

She looks so adorale sleeping with her kitty. I am down to baking the last three mini loaves of banana bread, then I am going to make some oatmeal cookies.

Have a great day!
