BIAS BINDING and NEW SHELVES

Good Afternoon to everyone!  It has been quite awhile since I have had to make bias binding.  I began yesterday afternoon and it was a disaster.  So, I walked away and waited until today.  Using the book Big Book of Best Loved Quilt Patterns and their instructions, with the fabric shown I was able to create a big roll of 2 and a half inch bias binding for the quilt that will be entered into my first ever quilt contest!  I really doubt that I have a chance at winning, but it does not matter.  First off, I will receive a free yard of any fabric that I choose and second well it has taken me years of quilting to even get up the courage so I have done nothing but gain confidence!
I also wanted to show off the FABULOUS shelves my hubby just finished making for our kitchen.  We live in a Mobile Home with limited cupboards.  So he built these.  I just love them and am so proud of him!!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a extra special day yourself!  Now off to start doing some quilting on this quilt!
