STEPS TAKEN

Dodger and I took our hour long morning walk, which is pleasant. While visiting with neighbors last night, I learned that Chicca has been following us for a short distance. But, she turns around at some point and comes back home...because she always meets us on the front porch with a meow!

Then I made Kevin and I lunch. I simmered stew meat all day yesterday with various herbs; allowed to cool then stored overnight in the fridge. Today I heated it up and added an Au Jus packet and some cornstarch to thicken and slowly simmered for about an hour. Boiled some potatoes and fixed a can of corn. Pretty scrumptious!

Kevin and I then got to run a few errands. On the way home, I suggested we stop in the used bookstore we have been wanting to for months and look around. Kevin found a book about the Civil War and I found a Quilt Book. It was only 3 dollars and has over 24 patterns plus it is hardcover and has some interesting facts, display ideas and history about quilts. I am thrilled to have found it.

Cut both the fabroc blocks and the fusable blocks all cut out.

Next, I ironed all of the fusable blocks to the fabric blocks.

And last, I sat and folded each block in half (both directions) to mark the center.

The next step will be to iron all of the fusable pieces onto each fabric choice and cut each piece out. Hopefully, I will get that done today. Guess it would help if I finished here. Have a great day!

  1. Don't you love making a find like the quilt book? And for that amount of money? :) I'd love to learn how to quilt one day!
