GRRRRR....PETS

I had the quilting frame all set up in the living room; had the quilt smoothed out and tacked to the boards, except one last corner. When what should appear but a beast a barking and a cat a running and jumping right on top.

But see how innocent she looks; just look at those eyes saying " I would never chase poor Chicca onto your quilt!"

Of course here is miss innocent Chicca afterwards; " It is all Dodgers fault that I jumped onto the quilt (it looked like a safe place) now I am resting all tuckered out".

So here it is all tacked up safe and secure in the 120 degree garage where I can block the animals from causing it more destruction. Thankfully it only ripped one edge of the backing material (I had made sure to leave more than enough lead way in case I messed up)! I have spent the last two days tieing it with yarn; just finished a short while ago. Now it is ready to have the binding put on. Well that is after I do the two other large quilts and ? small quilts.

The rest of today is going to be spent indoors with the airconditioning and just some pleasure time sewing!

  2. What we put up with when we have pets! Basil, our kitty, gave us a nice big throw up tonight in the "cozy room" THEN wanted to go outside...darn cat, should have gone outside FIRST, then thrown up! (He probably ate a bad rabbit! yick!)

Wow..you have such a handy husband...did he make your quilt stands, too?

  4. Poor Dodger, doesn't he know that cats think they're smarter? lol

Brenda, you left a comment on my blog asking if I got your email, I checked when I saw that and no email from you. Did you go to my profile and use that email? That would be the one to use.

  5. So how many times did you threaten the two of them with losing their "happy home"?? Of course we never do, and never would. LOL The nurse at camp this summer just loved our dog to pieces, and "taught" her that she should get treats several times a day. Our dog now recognizes the "Scooby Snacks" box, and if I move it where she can see it, she starts whining and carrying on. Really quite funny!

Glad you recovered from the mishap, without major damage!
