STITCHING AWAY ON MY SEWING MACHINE....

There is a song that has the lyricks....driving along in my automobile, baby beside me at the wheel...
Well I changed it to STITCHING AWAY ON MY SEWING MACHINE, BABIES BESIDE ME AT THE SEAM.
LOL. Of course, my babies are Dodger, Chicca and Frankie (when he visits). Chicca is my most devoted helper, she has to test all the fabrics for softness and durability. Dodger and Frankie just mainly lay underfoot or walk all over the quilt when laid out on the floor. But I love them all!
I finished my postcards for November and got a picture in my head about Decembers. So, I went searching for the "correct" pattern and shazaam....I am working on next months postcards. My friend, Maureen has an embroidery machine and I asked her today if I could use it to do some lettering. She has not played with it much herself, just a few little practice pieces.
After the two of us discussed the quilts she is working on and the quilting she is doing on her new machine, plus the new fabrics she had to buy today at JoAnn's for a future quilt. We began playing on the embroidery machine. She has given me free rain for experimenting when I try it out. I am so excited, this is going to be great fun! But, since there is a football game on tonight that her and her hubby want to watch and tomorrow is Kevins day off ; we decided on Wensday to be my official play day.
I know secretly she is tempting me to buy one also! But, she will be quite thrilled and happy that I will be using hers. Will have to show you some pictures while playing, until then I am appliqueing.

  4. I would love an embroidering machine. It is on my wish list. Maybe some day.

I haven't even begun to think about December yet.
