A GREAT WAY TO USE SCRAPS

I received these wonderful postcards all in the last few days.

The fireworks is from Vicki, the map is from Karen, the flying cat is from Carol and the pine tree is from Marie.

Are they not fabulous! Thank you ladies; they are now hanging on my sewing room wall.

Post Cards are one way to use up scrap pieces of material. I recently began a project that is a tremendous way to use the odd ball scraps.

I have seen many variations of Crazy Quilt blocks and decided to give it a try. It was very simple, for the most part, this week I was able to put together 40 of them.

This evening I assembled 36 of them into this. I am going to use it as the quilt block for quilt top I finished a few days ago (last blog).

It is far from being the correct size so am going to either make more of this type or another type of crazy quilt block....will decide on that tomorrow.

Kevin, Dad and I are going to get up early tomorrow and go to breakfast at Dennys restraurant. They are giving everyone a Grand Slam breakfast for free from 6 am to 2 pm. It is some type of promo for the Super Bowl. I really did not believe my father when he mentioned it, it seemed so out of whack. So I called and verified and yes across the United States, every Dennys is giving away this free breakfast. So off to bed I go.

Have a grand day! Thanks for stopping by......leave a comment or just browse.........I love hearing from all of you.

Yours is so pretty. I love the postcards too.

I've used material too to make cards. I love the effect of how they turn out.

  3. I love, love, love, it. Great job. We joked about going to Denny's for breakfast but the closest one is an hour away. When we were dating we used to go to Denny's a lot.
